MALAM ANUGERAH MSA 2009

The premier association for the advancement of Science & Technology in Malaysia, the Malaysian Scientific Association (MSA), held its annual dinner cum awards night with the following objectives: -

1. To officially install the Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation Malaysia as the Patron.

2. To award Honorary Fellowships to person who have made an outstanding contribution to science and technology development and to the MSA.

3. To award certificates to new Fellows of MSA.

4. To present Merit Awards to children of members who have excelled in the SPM / STPM examination in 2008.

5. To promote interaction and fellowship among members of the MSA.

The guest-of-honour was Yang Berhormat Datuk Seri Dr. Maximus Johnity Ongkili, Minister of Science, Technology and Inovation Malaysia.

The award for the Honorary Senior Fellowship went to Yang Berbahagia Tan Sri Dato' Seri Law Hieng Ding.

It was an eventful night with plenty of convivial moments as old friends and contemporaries caught up with each other to share stories. There were young children and teenagers too which augured well indeed for MSA as it gave them a headstart into the activities and pull of MSA as a science and technology association. The registration rang up to 200 people in attendance.
